Legislation

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAW 1974) requires that all companies employing 5 or more people take all reasonable precautions to ensure the workplace is safe, not only for employees but for those people who visit and may use equipment you provide. This includes contractors, temporary staff or members of the public.

Two of the main areas are manual handling training and display screen assessment. Both of these are COMPULSORY under the HASAW 1974.
